Terms of Use

Last updated: April 27, 2026

These Terms govern your access to and use of DeGigs. By creating an account or otherwise using the platform you agree to these Terms.

1. Purpose of DeGigs

DeGigs is a platform where music artists offer performance services and organizers hire them. Once a request is accepted, a binding tripartite contract forms between:

  1. The Artist
  2. The Organizer
  3. DeGigs, acting as the reservation administrator and payment operator

DeGigs does not provide artistic services nor guarantee the performance. The Artist is fully responsible for delivering the service.

2. Service fees

Fees apply to Artists and/or Organizers and are shown before confirming. Fees are non-refundable unless due to a DeGigs error. DeGigs may update fees with prior notice.

3. Payments and platform fee

Payments are processed by Stripe. DeGigs charges a platform fee on each booking — the breakdown is shown to both parties before the transaction is finalised. Funds are held in escrow and released to the artist 72 hours after the event.

  1. Payments are processed through third-party systems.
  2. Availability may vary due to technical or security reasons.
  3. DeGigs is not responsible for external payment processor issues.
  4. Payments may be held if verification is required.

4. Eligibility and verification

  1. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the platform.
  2. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
  3. DeGigs may request documentation to verify identity.

5. Modifications, cancellations and refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. In summary:

  1. Users may request modifications.
  2. Organizers may cancel under the applicable policy.
  3. If the Artist cancels, the Organizer receives a full refund (minus non-refundable fees).
  4. Penalties may apply to Artists.
  5. DeGigs may cancel due to force majeure.

6. Artist payment terms

  • Charges occur once the Artist accepts.
  • Payouts are sent to the Artist's registered method.
  • The Artist receives the event amount minus fees.

7. Organizer payment terms

  • Automatic charge upon confirmation.
  • All fees shown prior to payment.
  • Email confirmation provided.

10. Tripartite contract

Upon acceptance of a booking:

  • Artist, Organizer and DeGigs become contractually bound.
  • DeGigs manages payments, cancellations and policies.
  • The Artist is responsible for the performance.

  • Artist failures or no-shows
  • Organizer cancellations or issues
  • Damages, injuries or financial losses

Maximum liability: the fees retained by DeGigs for the involved reservation, or the platform fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is lower.
